A Decade of Music, Growth and Community – Celebrating Our 10th End of School Year Concert

On Sunday,5th of July, our community came together to celebrate a truly special milestone – the 10th End of School Year Concert.

More than a concert, it was a celebration of ten years of music, learning, friendship and community.

Throughout the day, our students took to the stage with confidence and pride, performing pieces they had worked on throughout the year. From our youngest musicians taking their very first steps on stage to more experienced performers, every performance reflected months of dedication, perseverance and passion.

Behind every student stands an incredible team of teachers whose commitment, patience and encouragement help young people discover not only their musical abilities, but also confidence, resilience and a love of learning. We are deeply grateful for everything they do.

Over the past decade, hundreds of children have taken part in our music and arts programmes. Many have grown up with us, developing their talents, making lifelong friendships and becoming valued members of our community. Looking back at ten years of concerts reminds us that our work has always been about much more than music. It has been about creating opportunities, nurturing confidence and giving every child a place where they feel they belong.

We would like to thank all of our families, volunteers, supporters and partners who have been part of this journey. Your encouragement and trust have helped us grow from a small community initiative into an organisation serving families from many different backgrounds across Peterborough.

Looking ahead

While this concert celebrated the end of another successful academic year, it also marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

For ten years we have delivered our programmes in different venues across the city. Soon, that will change.

In the coming months we will begin creating The Stork's Nest—our first permanent community home. It will be a welcoming space where music, creativity, wellbeing and community activities can flourish together. A place designed not only for our students, but for the whole community.

As we celebrate ten wonderful years, we know that the best is still to come.
