Aplauz – Polish Children and Youth Song Festival

Aplauz is one of the UK's leading festivals celebrating young Polish vocal talent. Created by the Polish Music Centre in Peterborough, the festival provides children and young people with a unique opportunity to perform, learn, grow and build lifelong friendships through music.

More than a singing competition, Aplauz is a celebration of talent, creativity and community. Young performers from across the United Kingdom come together to share their passion for music, gain valuable stage experience and perform in a professional, supportive environment and celbrate their culture and heritage.

Over the past four editions, the festival has welcomed more than 400 young singers from across the UK and received over 1,500 competition entries, making it one of the largest events of its kind within the Polish community in Britain.

Together we have spent 12 unforgettable festival days, celebrating music, talent and culture. Beyond the performances, participants have enjoyed four community evenings, creating friendships, exchanging experiences and building connections that continue long after the festival ends.

More Than a Competition

Aplauz is about much more than awards. It is a place where young people gain confidence, develop their artistic skills and discover the joy of performing. For many participants, it is their first experience on a professional stage and an opportunity to receive constructive feedback from experienced musicians and vocal specialists.

The festival encourages creativity, resilience and self-expression while promoting Polish language and culture through music. It also brings together families, teachers and communities from across the country, creating a vibrant celebration of young talent.
